Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making AttendIQ accessible to everyone

Last updated: 24 April 2026
Standard: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA
Contact: accessibility@attendiq.co.uk

Our commitment

PerkIQ Ltd, trading as AttendIQ, is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Conformance status

AttendIQ is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to achieve full conformance.

What we have done

The following accessibility features are implemented across the AttendIQ admin portal and marketing website:

Feature Description Status
Skip navigation A "Skip to main content" link allows keyboard users to bypass the navigation and jump directly to the page content. Done
Colour contrast All text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) against their background colours. Done
Focus indicators All interactive elements display a visible focus ring when navigated to via keyboard. Done
Keyboard navigation All primary actions can be completed using keyboard only. Modals and dialogs support Escape key dismissal. Done
ARIA labels Icon-only buttons and interactive elements include descriptive ARIA labels for screen reader users. Done
Semantic HTML Pages use appropriate landmark regions (nav, main, header) and heading hierarchy. Done
Error messages Form errors are presented in plain language with suggested fixes, not raw error codes. Done
Focus trapping Modal dialogs trap focus within the dialog so keyboard users cannot interact with content behind it. In progress
Screen reader testing NVDA and VoiceOver testing of the clock-in flow and key admin workflows. Planned
Automated testing axe-core accessibility scanner integrated into our development pipeline to catch regressions. Done

Known limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility gaps and are working to resolve them:

  • Some interactive elements (particularly in data tables) use click handlers on non-semantic elements. We are progressively converting these to proper button elements.
  • The mobile worker app is in active development and has not yet undergone a full accessibility audit.
  • Some older form controls may not have properly associated labels via the htmlFor attribute.
  • Live data regions (e.g. notification counters, real-time attendance boards) do not yet announce updates to screen readers via aria-live.

Feedback and contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of AttendIQ. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

  • Email: accessibility@attendiq.co.uk
  • General support: support@attendiq.co.uk

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 working days and to resolve reported issues within 30 days where technically feasible.

A formal third-party accessibility audit is planned for 2026 to validate conformance and identify any remaining gaps.
