Principal contractor compliance and competence software.
Know that every person on your site is competent, inducted and allowed to be there - your own workers and every subcontractor's. Verify CSCS cards, evidence your CDM 2015 duties, and control access at the gate. Your supply chain uses it free.
Live the same day. No hardware, no turnstiles, no IT project.
Your supply chain costs you nothing extra.
Invite a subcontractor and they get their own portal to manage their workers' cards, inductions and right to work. Their workers are included in your licence. Most platforms in this category charge per subcontractor seat or per supply chain company - which is exactly why supply chain adoption stalls, and why the compliance gap you were trying to close stays open. Nobody chases a subcontractor who has been asked to pay for the privilege of proving they are compliant.
The duties that land on you
As principal contractor you carry the competence, induction and access obligations for everyone on your site, whoever employs them. These are the four that generate the paperwork.
Competence, CDM 2015
Satisfy yourself that the people you appoint are competent, and be able to show how you did it. Every competency record carries a source and a confidence score, from worker self-upload through to a verified API check.
CSCS verification
Cards checked against CSCS Smart Check rather than trusted from a photograph. Expiries tracked and flagged before they bite, across your workforce and your supply chain's.
Site induction
Inductions delivered before arrival or at the gate, in the worker's own language, with a timestamped record of who completed what and when. No signing sheets to lose.
Site access control
Rules you configure per site: valid card, induction done, right to work current, medical and drug and alcohol clearance, any competency the role needs. Failing workers are stopped at clock-in.
Right to work
Documents recorded against the worker, not the employer, so a worker moving between subcontractors does not restart the check. Expiry is one of the few rules that blocks outright.
Evidence on demand
Every access decision recorded with the reasons behind it. Who was on site, who was turned away, and why. Exports for HSE, client audits and accreditation bodies.
What actually changes on Monday
The gate stops being a bottleneckWorkers clock in on their own phones with GPS, or on a tablet kiosk if the site prefers one. Under a minute, one hand, gloves on.
You stop chasing subcontractors for paperworkThey maintain their own workers' records in their own portal, because it costs them nothing and it is how they get their people through your gate.
A turned-away worker gets the real reasonEvery failing rule is returned at once, not the first one. The supervisor fixes the actual problem instead of sending them away three times.
The audit answers itselfTimesheets, inductions, competencies and access decisions are one record with one timeline, exportable for the client or the HSE without assembling anything.
One worker, one profile, every siteA worker who moves from one of your subcontractors to another keeps their cards, inductions and right to work. No re-induction, no re-upload.
Expiries stop being a surpriseCards, tickets, medicals and RAMS all flagged ahead of the date, to the people who can do something about it.
Payroll gets clean hoursAttendance feeds timesheets, overtime rules run against the CIJC Working Rule Agreement, and the export goes to your payroll system rather than through a spreadsheet.
Fatigue and working time are visibleConsecutive shifts and weekly hours monitored against the Working Time Regulations, before somebody gets hurt.
Live on your first site this week
No hardware to order, no turnstile to commission, no integration project to schedule.
Set up your sites and rules
Add your sites and decide what each one requires before somebody can work on it. Copy the rules from one site to the rest. Onboarding call included.
Invite your supply chain
Each subcontractor gets their own portal free, adds their workers, and uploads the cards and documents your rules ask for. You see the gaps as they close.
Open the gate
Workers download the app, clock in, and the access rules run. Anyone who should not be on site is stopped, with the reasons recorded.
What it costs
Per worker, per month, billed to you. Published rather than quoted, so you can compare it against what you are paying now without booking a call first.
One-off setup fee applies (£1,000 + VAT on Essential, £1,500 + VAT on Complete) and includes an onboarding call. Minimum annual fees apply rather than a minimum worker count. Full pricing and the calculator.
Questions from principal contractors
What is principal contractor competence software?
It records and verifies that every worker on your site holds the skills, training and cards their role requires, and produces the evidence on demand. Under CDM 2015 you must satisfy yourself that the people you appoint are competent and be able to show how you did so. In AttendIQ that means CSCS verification against Smart Check, qualifications with expiry tracking, inductions with a timestamped completion record, and a confidence score on every competency showing where the evidence came from.
Do you charge for subcontractor users?
No. Subcontractors you invite get their own portal at no extra cost and their workers are included in your licence. There is no per-seat charge and no cap on how many companies you invite.
How does this help me evidence CDM 2015?
Every access decision is recorded with the reasons behind it, so you can show who was allowed on site, who was turned away and why. Inductions, competencies, right to work and drug and alcohol records all carry timestamps and a source, and an audit trail is written on every change. That is what makes it usable as evidence after the fact rather than only as a live dashboard.
Can I stop a worker getting on site?
Yes. You configure the rules per site: valid CSCS card, induction complete, right to work current, medical and drug and alcohol clearance, any competency the role requires. A worker failing any rule is blocked at clock-in and every failing reason is returned at once, so the supervisor can fix the real problem. Supervisors can override for operational reasons, except where the worker is banned or their right to work has expired.
How long does it take to go live?
Same day. There is no hardware to install and no turnstile to commission. Workers clock in on their own phones with GPS, or on a tablet kiosk at the gate if the site prefers one. Every customer gets an onboarding call included.
How many workers does this suit?
Roughly 50 to 3,000 workers including the supply chain. Regional main contractors running 100 to 500 direct workers plus 5 to 20 supply chain companies are the typical fit. A minimum annual fee sets the floor rather than a minimum worker count, so you can start from 10 workers.
We already use turnstiles. Does this replace them?
It does not have to. AttendIQ runs the competence, induction and access rules whether the gate is a turnstile, a tablet kiosk or a worker's phone. Sites that already have hardware keep it; sites that do not can open next week without ordering any.
What happens to a subcontractor who works for several main contractors?
They keep one set of worker records and present it to each of their clients. Their workers hold a single profile that carries cards, inductions and right to work between sites. You see only your own sites and the workers deployed to them.
See it against your own site rules
A demo runs on your sites, your access rules and your supply chain, not a sandbox. Half an hour, and you will know whether it fits before anyone talks about a contract.
